A Sentry for My Chickens

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God. Ecclesiastes 3:11-13

My chickens live in a coop that sits under a beautiful oak tree in the midst of lush ground cover and Mexican, Hummingbird and Jerusalem sage. The ground is so fertile, that the plants have grown through the chicken wire and into the coop. A delicious treat for Ethel and Carolyn - my girls.
I found a chicken basket somewhere that I stuck outside the coop just for fun.
Now, it stands sentry, a comb of sage it's Galea.
That makes me smile.
